"Antimicrobial coatings that last for weeks as an infection deterrent to microbe proof films that last for years"
~Mark Raymond
“The best antimicrobial surface protection available today…designed with you in mind”
~Dan Koziol
“I care because infections cause disease in a patients that I’m closest to”
~Dr. Mark Brunvand
MicrobeProof Inc. came into being because we saw a need. It was the need to take action against microscopic pathogens – an enemy that we cannot see but one that seeks to do us harm.
We began to create products and systems to reduce the risk of infection and illness. We gathered the best people to help us do the job – industry experts, engineers, inventors, marketers, doctors and scientists.
Our focus on infection protection led us to create NanogaardTM a revolutionary system of anti-microbial implant coatings to dramatically reduce post-surgery infection and suffering.
We recognized that high-touch and high-traffic surfaces continue to pose the highest risk of harboring pathogens that can do us harm so we created MicrobeProofTM films to protect and destroy 99.99% microbes on every protected surface.
We created Clean-a-CardTM to help hotels and casinos fight an increased risk of infection due to so many people from different places coming and going.
We heard the cry, we saw the need, we answered the call.
Implant related infections are the most common cause of joint arthroplasty failure and results in costs of over $8.5 billion in the United States alone, not to mention deaths and pain and suffering.
Bacteria colonize the implants’ surface and there is no blood flow in the areas surrounding the implant and the antibiotics in the blood cannot reach these areas.
The MicrobeProof Foundation is a non-profit organization that sponsors testing and research into disinfection and prevention. Care homes and Surgical Centers have a high risk of infection especially among patients and residents whose immunity has been lowered due to disease or body breakdown.
Our partners include the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at U.C.L.A., Orthopedic Hospital Research Center, David Geffen School of Medicine, Weintraub Center for Reconstructive Biotechnology, Division of Advanced Prosthodontics, U.C.L.A School of Dentistry, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Neurology and Dermatology at Duke University.
Our goal is to develop the science in preventing infection among the most vulnerable first and providing education and resources in our fight against pathogens.
We gathered the best people to help us do the job – industry experts, engineers, inventors, marketers, doctors and scientists.
